About

My name is Aidan, and I’m a writer from Austin, Texas. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English, and I’m currently working on a Master in Arts in Creative Writing. These are things that are probably important about me, but they don’t really tell you much about who I am or why I’m writing this blog.

I’ve wanted to be a writer ever since I was a kid, and I basically decided in middle school that it was what I wanted to go to college for. However, this came with a small problem: I’m visually impaired. If you’ve been wondering why this whole blog is pink, it’s actually because I can’t read very well on black-and-white paper. On other websites, I use a color filter on my laptop, but since this is my own site, why bother? If my professors and fellow writers can get used to me handing them forty sheets of bright pink looseleaf at a time, I think that whoever is reading this can handle my color choice.

Maybe because reading and writing are skills that I’ve hard-earned throughout my life, I won’t be restraining myself much on this blog. Here you’ll find reviews of things I love (and of things I didn’t), selections of poetry I’ve written for magazines, and (drumroll please): updates about my YA fantasy series! Hooray! As much as they try and convince you, most writers, while they may enjoy a particular niche, write as much as they can as often as they can, and they write in dozens of genres with handfuls of styles. This site is a reflection of that side of myself.

So, dig into the chaos, and I hope you enjoy!
